Sharapova: higher form in Zurich
Reuter's Siggi Bucher (through Yahoo! News) had an apparently elevated view of Russia's Maria Sharapova's 6-4 6-3 quarterfinal win over Timea Bacsinszky, who was playing before a crowd of her countrymen and countrywomen. The result is interesting, though not necessarily better from the view of the inner Sharapova (for example, check the next to last photo.)
The quarterfinal match featuring the second Swiss, the "Swiss Miss" herself, the goddess, is underway as this is being posted.
