WNBA weekend seen July 2nd
Seen this weekend: Nakia Sanford Nakia gave Houston fits Thursday, and the fans in LA and Phoenix heard her name called out a lot in those games also (16 points, 9 rebounds in LA Saturday, 14 points, 8 rebounds in Phoenix Sunday.) I could not believe she's been in the league, let alone at Washington, since '03. WNBA fans are seeing a lot of her and her teammate Chasity Melvin as they step up to fill the void left in Delisha Milton-Jones injury-inactivity. Good job!
Seen this weekend: Coco Miller Looking good: I've got to dig up some pics of her to post.
Seen this weekend: DeMya Walker, and we really should not have. She's not ready. Yes, Sacramento's scoring is down this year from last, but
- Sac lost Chelsea Newton and her sobriety to Chicago in the expansion draft; and,
- DeMya's absence has not been a complete one, but more an impending moment of cataclysmic proportions, which she is playing out to the hilt: dealing much uncertainty, thoughtlessness and just plain vanity to her teammates and to the team effort: are mothers more woman?
