WNBA weekend seen July 23rd

seen this weekend: Jessica Moore and Murriel Page: Not two minutes into the game at Indiana, 6'5 Lisa Leslie fouled 5'7 Tully Bevilaqua as Tully attempted a layup. It was a hard foul, the ball was no consideration in Lisa's mind. Silly foul, yes. Christi Thomas offers LA a seamless post presence in Lisa's foul propensity, but Christi is still injured. With 10 seconds left in the 2nd quarter and Indiana leading by only 2 points, even I knew Indiana was going to drive to the basket to increase the score and attempt to give Lisa the third foul she deserved for her silliness. Jessica Moore kept her eye on the action, and stepped between Lisa and the action and gave the foul. Jessica did that for the rest of the night, using brain and brawn. Murriel and her points all came at critical junctures in the game, as the pair played clutch but fundamental basketball as team players to keep their team in the game and gain the win. There is no higher possible commendation in the game.
