WNBA July 18th, 19th and 20th indications recast
July 18th
Phoenix at Indiana: indications off: this was a surprise, and a noteworthy win by Indiana. Box Score
Sacramento at Seattle: indications on: Sac beat the Juggernaut. Quite logical actually. Box Score
Houston at San Antonio: indications on: mud pie in Houston's face as SA sweeps the regular season series. I've seen Sheryl Swoopes singlehandedly determine Houston's post-season placement. Let's see if she stirs around SA in the first round this year ((big) if both teams make the playoffs.) Box Score
New York at Los Angeles: indications on: this was difficult: best team in the West vs the East's cellar. Box Score
July 19th
Phoenix at Washington: indications on: Phoenix. Box Score
Charlotte at Detroit: indications off: oops, Detroit. Not. Box Score
Chicago at Minnesota: indications on: Minn. Box Score
July 20th
Seattle at Charlotte: indications off: on a back-to-back for Charlotte, they topped the Juggernaut! Box Score
New York at Sacramento: indications on: NY had no chance. Box Score
Chicago at Connecticut: indications on: Chi had no chance. Box Score
Minnesota at Houston: indications off: I thought it was turnovers at crucial moments by Minn (17 with 19 points off turnovers, Hou 18 with 14 points off), abysmally poor offensive rebounding by Minn (only 6 to Hou's 27 defensive rebounds; Hou had 9 offensive rebounds to Minn 19 defensive rebounds (hey, more makes create less opportunities for rebounds in the first place)), and horrific shooting in general by Minn (put in 21 of 56 shots with Hou dropping in a signicant (and determinative) 38% more at 29 of 58.) But the recap credited it all to Houston's defense. What I saw was what Minn didn't do that was well within reasonable expectations for the much talent on that team, but if the hommies want to believe defense, so be it. Box Score Alternative Box Score
